Family entrepreneurship support program

The project is implemented under the grant program “Cooperation paths – support for entities implementing international cooperation” as a part of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020 Axis No. IV. Social innovation and transnational cooperation, Measure 4.3 Transnational Cooperation

The main aim of the project is to increase the level of entrepreneurship and professional activity of the inhabitants of the Lublin Province in Poland, by creating conditions for establishing and running own business.

Project background

In Poland, there are no system models to support family entrepreneurship. However, they are very valuable for the economy, because they are more resistant to changes in the environment in which they operate, they build long-lasting relationships with their collaborators and they are better perceived, as business brands, by customers. At the same time, they are struggling with a number of challenges, i.e. the need to plan succession processes.

System activities supporting entrepreneurship were successfully taken in Cyprus after the great financial crisis, which dramatically affected the population and economy of Cyprus. Family businesses form the basis of the Cypriot economy and during the financial crisis, it was noticed that family businesses, thanks to the long-standing tradition and determination of their owners, were able to survive the hardest times and make the greatest contribution to the reconstruction of the Cypriot economy. However, this was done with great effort and determination. Therefore, actions were taken to protect family businesses and provide them with tools for effective growth.

Project results
