COOPSKILLS – COOPeration of public and private players to reskill and upSKILL workerS/COOPSKILLS

COOPSKILLS

The COOP SKILLS project is inspired by the principles of UNESCO’s “Learning Cities” aiming at creating “Learning Companies”, and it effectively mobilizes its resources in every sector to promote inclusive learning, revitalize learning in communities, facilitate learning for and in the workplace, extend the use of modern learning technologies and enhance quality and excellence in learning. The heart of the project lies in fostering a culture of learning throughout life. This will be achieved by setting and operating “Reskilling Labs” in municipality level under the supervision and management of the most-suited key stakeholders such as the Municipality, local chambers and VET providers.

The incentive under the COOPSKILLS proposal is to enable and motivate companies and workers respectively at a Local/Municipality level and all the stakeholders involved to:

  • increase the quality and relevance of their activities,
  • develop and reinforce their networks of partners,
  • increase their capacity to operate jointly at transnational level,
  • boost internationalization of their activities through exchanging or developing new practices and methods,
  • share ideas on adult education and training.

Project Objectives:

The project aims at understanding what drives skills development to build local alliances for lifelong learning, through the creation of Reskilling Labs. By designing inclusive training, guidance, and skills assessment methods that open doors to new career opportunities in fast-growing sectors, COOPSKILLS will empower low-skilled workers for the green and digital economy. Throughout the project cycle, the consortium will follow a rigorous quality assurance system to ensure that all the project results are of excellence and their impact long-lasting. The key project results will be:

  • A report on best practice mobilization actions.
  • A handbook on organizing and running “Reskilling Labs”.
  • Two synthesis reports on the operation of Reskilling Labs and on the decisions made in the piloting countries on which sectors, the learning and skills needs of the work force, and the motivation actions that are required by each piloting country
  • Training curricula and material for trainees and trainers accompanied by gamification tools for learning and assessing training activities. Counselling, mentoring manual.
  • Two synthetic reports on mobilization and training actions to drive our pilot tests with relevant stakeholders.

Partners:
