Transforming VET: Join hVET’s Pilot Tests

Breathe the future: Testing and Fine-tuning the hVET Project Results

The hVET project which aims at the creation, testing and implementation of a unique hybrid teaching model, along with a collection of specialised tools and resources designed for VET teachers, trainers, practitioners, and students. The primary objective of the hVET project is the response to emerging challenges and shifting paradigms of teaching – implementing hybrid learning in vocational education and training (VET), sustaining engagement and motivation of learners, as well as replicating hands-on experiences with online classes. Among the project results, the hVET consortium has developed two online tools:

  1. Competence Assessment Tool for Hybrid VET Teachers
  2. Hybrid Learner Qualities Test (HLQ)

Competence Assessment Tool for Hybrid VET Teachers

It is a psychometric tool for diagnosis and measuring the competences of VET teacher providing hybrid work-based learning (synchronised, on-line activities and face-to-face activities). The target group of the product will be: (1) VET teachers and educators, (2) trainers conducting trainings for VET teachers, and (3) methodologists.

Hybrid Learner Qualities Test (HLQ)

The tool examines the learning styles and essential qualities of VET learners aged 15-19 in the context of hybrid education. Understanding the learning styles of students in a hybrid setting is essential for promoting personalized learning, effective instruction, student success, engagement, and ensuring inclusivity in diverse learning environments. Currently, the tool is in the standardization phase and pilot testing in the partners’ countries.

Invitation to participate in the hVET Pilot Testing

The consortium is inviting interested schools to participate in the pilot testing of the two tools. Students of VET between the ages of 15 and 19, and VET teachers/educators with experience in hybrid education are welcomed to participate! The pilot testing which takes between 20-40 minutes long, depending on tool under piloting, includes the trial of the online tool by each target group and the subsequent completion of the evaluation form to provide feedback.

Post fine-tuning, the tool will be available online, free-of-charge offering teachers and students of VET comprehensive insights into their domain. The participants involved in the pilot tests will be offered certification of participation in international project.
