Breathe the future: Testing and Fine-tuning the hVET Project Results
At the heart of the hVET project lies a dynamic and innovative educational initiative that fuses physical and virtual learning, tailored for the VET sector. We are achieving this through the creation, testing, and implementation of a unique hybrid teaching model, along with a collection of specialised tools and resources designed for VET teachers, trainers, practitioners, and students. Our hVET partnership consists of: Polska Fundacja Osrodkow Wspomagania Rozwoju Gospodarczego OIC POLAN, Eurosuccess Consulting, p-Consulting, PROGRESS Kalińska, Antalya Il Milli Egitim Mudurlugu and Instituto Politécnico de Santarém.
From February 12th to 16th 2024, we hosted here in Cyprus, a micro-learning training activity, where along with our partners and experts, we familiarised ourselves with the project’s five key results and conducted internal testing. The hVET project consists of 5 distinct project results that will address its objectives in creating, testing and implementing a hybrid teaching model which supports:
- an effective digital transition,
- inclusion and accessibility,
- innovation and the development of professional skills for modern VET teachers and
- strengthening cooperation amongst VET schools and stakeholders.
The Project Results are:
- Creating the methodology manual for hybrid teaching in VET schools
- Designing a professional certification course for VET teachers
- Creating a Competence Assessment Tool for hybrid VET teachers
- Creating a Learning Style online test for hybrid VET learners
- Creating the Hybrid Mystery – Educational Game for VET students
We dived into the world of hVET and participated in workshops delivered by our fellow participants in order to be educated in each project result. Thorough feedback was gathered to adjust each deliverable to ensure excellence. Our trainings were accompanied by creative interactive activities ranging from designing a hybrid set-up for VET classes with the use of Legos as well as, playing the Hybrid Mystery Educational game. This of course allowed us to better understand, visualise and become part of the trainings.
Furthermore, our experts were given the chance to network among themselves, build their own knowledge and share good practices and ideas. We have now gathered the necessary feedback to fine-tune their deliverables and prepare for the upcoming pilot testing to the partner countries. Each partner country will take the five project results and test them with their corresponding target audience. As a result of the pilot testing, we will finalise the deliverables for the end-users. The overarching objective, once the project is completed, is for the project’s outputs to be embedded in curricula.
The hVET project stands as a beacon of innovation in the VET sector, bringing together dynamic approaches to blend physical and virtual learning effectively. Through collaborative efforts a set of tools and resources were crafted to support VET teachers, trainers, practitioners and students. The recent micro-learning training activity hosted by us served as a pivotal moment, where we all immersed ourselves in the project’s key results, providing invaluable feedback to refine and enhance our deliverables. As the partnership moves forward with the pilot testing, they are armed with the insights gained driving forward the transformative vision of hVET.
