The sheme provides the opportunity for businesses to hire graduates, aged up to 29 years old, who have received a degree of a duration of at least 3 years, and are registered as unemployed gratuates for over 6 consecutive months at the offices of the Public Employment Service.
The subsidy grants an 80% of the wage costs of the employee, with a maximum amount of €15.000. The subsidy will cover a period of 12 months of employment with the employer’s obligation for additional employment of that person for six more months with no subsidy granted.
The following employers only have the right to apply:
- Those who enrolled in the schemes of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Youth Entrepreneurship, and Business Innovation over the programmed period of 2007-2013.
- Those who have not received any fundings from previous co-financed schemes, over the period of 2007-2013, to encourage the employment of the same person who intend to recruit under this scheme. Also, the same person (candidate towards employment) must not have worked for at least 8 months prior to the notice date of the invitation for the same employer.
Note: The hiring of the unemployed person should be completed after the date of the announcement of the scheme’s proclamation, in a position which is addresed by the Public Employment Service.
