Incentive Scheme for the Recruitment of Inactive Women with Flexible Employment Arrangements

The Scheme is part of Active Employment Policies and aims to boost employment by recruiting inactive women with flexible forms of work (online, mixed teleworking, flexible working hours, part-time work, job sharing). It is co-funded by the ESF+ and the Republic of Cyprus, with a total budget of €4,000,000 and a target of hiring 470 women.

 

  • It concerns employers in areas under the control of the Republic of Cyprus; up to 5 hires per call.
  • Beneficiaries: inactive women who were not registered with the Department of Labour’s Public Employment Service or looking for work in the last 28 days.
  • They must not have worked for the same employer in the previous 8 months.
  • The position must be registered with the Department of Labour’s Public Employment Service.
  • Salary ≥ minimum: €900 gross initially, €1,000 after 6 months.
  • Subsidy: €48/day worked, up to €8,600 per hire, duration 10 months + 2 months without subsidy.
  • Application: within 1 month of recruitment, exclusively online, with FIFO (First In, First Out). evaluation.
  • Grant payment in 3 installments (every 4 months) or 1 final request; FIMAS (Financial Management System) requirement and settlement of debts.
  • Obligation to maintain an electronic file (5 years), comply with legislation, principles of equality & non-discrimination, and inform UBOs (Ultimate Beneficial Owners).
