Teachers’ HAVEN Congress

Invitation to join the 1st Annual Teachers’ HAVEN Congress

We are pleased to invite educators, teacher trainers, researchers, and education professionals to the 1st Annual Teachers’ HAVEN Congress, taking place on 6–7 February 2026 and streamed online for our English speaking audience.

The Congress is organised within the framework of the Teachers’ HAVEN initiative and aims to create a dedicated space for dialogue, reflection, and learning around teacher wellbeing and professional growth. As the demands placed on teachers continue to increase, there is a growing need for initiatives that acknowledge the complexity of the teaching profession and provide meaningful opportunities for support, exchange, and professional development. This Congress responds directly to that need.

Over the course of two days, participants will engage in a rich and carefully structured programme featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, seminars which are going to be streamed online as they will take place in English. The agenda will explore themes such as teacher self-efficacy, emotional resilience, classroom challenges, burnout prevention, work-life balance, and the creation of supportive school environments. Sessions are designed to combine expert perspectives with practical insights that participants can reflect on and apply within their own professional contexts.

Although not streamed, it is crucial to highlight the strong emphasis this Congress places on networking and peer exchange. Dedicated networking moments will allow participants to connect with colleagues, experts, and stakeholders from Cyprus and across Europe, exchange experiences, and build professional relationships that can continue beyond the event itself. These interactions are an integral part of the Congress experience and contribute to the creation of a supportive professional community.

The Congress is open to teachers at all levels, teacher educators, school leaders, students in education, and education stakeholders who are interested in strengthening wellbeing, confidence, and sustainable professional practices in education.

Participation in the Congress is free of charge; however, registration is required.
