Teachers’ HAVEN – Participate in European Research on Teacher Well-being

We are pleased to announce the launch of a European-wide research activity within the framework of the Teachers’ HAVEN project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The aim of this activity is to better understand the real and pressing needs of teachers working in primary and secondary education across Europe.

At the heart of this initiative is a carefully designed questionnaire addressed specifically to in-service teachers. Through this questionnaire, we are gathering data on various aspects of teachers’ professional lives, including their well-being, confidence in teaching practices, workplace conditions, and the types of support systems currently available to them.

Why is your participation important?

As a working educator, your perspective is crucial. Your experiences reflect the daily realities of the teaching profession and can offer valuable insight into what works, what needs improvement, and what kind of support would make a meaningful difference. By taking part in the questionnaire, you are contributing to the development of new tools, resources, and training pathways that will be offered through the Teachers’ HAVEN Academy – an upcoming digital platform dedicated to supporting teachers’ personal and professional growth.

What the questionnaire covers:

  • Key stress factors and well-being challenges in the school environment
  • Levels of self-efficacy in areas such as classroom management, instructional strategies, and student engagement
  • The availability and quality of social and institutional support
  • Opportunities and gaps in current professional development and training

The questionnaire has been developed by a team of researchers and experts in educational psychology, and it is part of a broader methodology that also includes focus groups, interviews with school leadership, and stakeholder consultations. The findings from all these activities will feed into a transnational Needs Analysis Report, to be published in autumn 2025.

How to participate:

The questionnaire is available online and takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain anonymous and will be used exclusively for research purposes within the scope of the Teachers’ HAVEN project.
