The MICROIDEA project is building on project results based on prior scientific policy measures (Active Labour Market Policies and the open context projects initiatives). The aim of the project is to introduce a holistic methodology for establishing the principles for designing, issuing, assessing, validate and certify micro-credentials that are commonly recognised in a European level and integrate them into the existing quality assurance systems.
The project aims to establish a micro-credential system aligned with ISO 17024 standards, focusing on non-formal vocational education and training (VET). By striking a balance between national certification systems and international validation standards, we aim at a smoother integration into the workforce. Additionally, we plan to create an online tool for assessing skills needs and to pilot the micro-credential system within the Tourism sector.
During the 2-day kick-off meeting between the 17th and 18th April, we have had the opportunity to:
- Meet with the partners and coordinate our actions,
- Align on the work packages to ensure the excellent delivery and quality of our outputs
