Inclusion is no longer an optional practice; it is essential for the progress and cohesion of our society. For this reason, the need for awareness and action is more urgent than ever. The event Ένταξη, Ισότητα & Ψηφιακή Εκπαίδευση: «Πώς οι επιχειρήσεις μπορούν να δημιουργήσουν συμπεριληπτικούς εργασιακούς χώρους», taking place on Tuesday, 27 May 2025 at 17:00, at KEEAED Nicosia (131 Trikoupi Street), aims to offer answers, tools, and dialogue towards building a working world without exclusions.
The event is organized by the Multifunctional Municipal Centre of Nicosia, within the framework of the project Information & Training Centre for Employment and Entrepreneurial Action (KEEAED), and in collaboration with us and the Cyprus Multiple Sclerosis Association. It takes place just a few days before World Multiple Sclerosis Day (30 May), honoring the ongoing efforts for greater understanding, acceptance, and inclusion in the workplace.
As part of the European projects SHAPE MS and DOEER, which we are implementing, the event brings together employers, trainers, individuals with chronic conditions, policymakers, and civil society organizations to discuss good practices, digital tools, and policy strategies that promote inclusion in employment and education.
What the event includes:
- Presentations of the DOEER & SHAPE MS projects, highlighting their tools (MOOC, platforms, videos)
- A live panel featuring Evangelia Athanasiou (Biomedical Engineer & expert in health innovation), Marios Antoniou (Group Human Resources Manager, Alphamega Hypermarkets), Georgia Dimofanous (President of the Cyprus Multiple Sclerosis Association & Secretary General of the Cyprus Confederation of Disabled People’s Organizations), and Rafaella Miltiadous (Marketing a Manager at Altamira Real Estate – Road Safety Ambassador, Youth Board of Cyprus).
- Interactive Q&A using live polling tools
- Personal experiences, including a testimonial from a person living with Multiple Sclerosis
- Networking and exchange of practices

Throughout the event, the discussion will focus on broader issues surrounding inclusion and equality in the workplace, with particular emphasis on how digital education can enhance accessibility and participation. Approaches to building flexible and inclusive employment models will be explored, as well as the role policymakers can play in shaping fair and sustainable work environments. The event aims to highlight best practices, foster cross-sector dialogue, and support the exchange of ideas and experiences related to tools, strategies, and initiatives that promote inclusion in employment and education.
