We are pleased to invite educators, teacher educators, researchers, and education professionals to the 1st Annual Teachers’ HAVEN Congress, which will take place on 6–7 February 2026 at the European University Cyprus. The Congress will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person or via live online streaming, ensuring accessibility for teachers across Europe.
Teaching is a profession that demands emotional strength, adaptability, and continuous learning. Increasing workloads, changing classroom dynamics, and growing expectations have made teacher wellbeing a central issue in education systems worldwide. The Teachers’ HAVEN Congress has been created as a dedicated space for reflection, dialogue, and practical learning, bringing together diverse perspectives on how teachers can be better supported in their professional and personal lives.
Over the course of two days, participants will engage in keynote speeches, panel discussions, seminars, and interactive workshops, all focused on strengthening teacher wellbeing and supporting professional growth. The Congress offers a balanced programme that combines research-informed insights with practical strategies that teachers can relate to their everyday classroom experience.
Day 1 (Friday, 6 February 2026) will focus on setting the broader context. The day will open with a welcoming ceremony, followed by a keynote address exploring teacher wellbeing from an international perspective, drawing on global data and trends. A panel discussion will then examine the connections between self-efficacy, burnout, and teacher mental health, offering space for dialogue between experts and participants. The first day will conclude with a question-and-answer session and a networking event, providing opportunities for exchange and professional connection.
Day 2 (Saturday, 7 February 2026) will place stronger emphasis on practice and participation. The programme includes parallel morning and afternoon sessions, allowing participants to choose seminars and workshops that best match their interests and needs. Topics will cover classroom challenges, positive and supportive teaching strategies, emotional resilience, work–life balance, and approaches to creating healthier school environments. Keynote sessions will also present early insights emerging from the Teachers’ HAVEN initiative, linking research findings with practical implications for educators.
The Congress is designed for a wide audience, including teachers in training, teachers in service, school leaders, teacher trainers, university staff, students, graduates, and education stakeholders. Whether attending in person or online, participants will have opportunities to learn, exchange experiences, and contribute to a shared European conversation on teacher wellbeing and professional development.
Participation in the Congress is free of charge. The online registration link will be available soon and will be shared through our official website and social media channels. All main sessions will be streamed online, enabling remote participants to follow the programme and engage with the content, as well as having sessions running in English and Greek.
We warmly encourage teachers and education professionals to join us for this first annual Teachers’ HAVEN Congress and take part in shaping a more supportive, resilient, and sustainable future for the teaching profession.
