From Awareness to Practice

From Awareness to Practice: EcoHoney Training Activities Take Shape

The EcoHoney project continues to move forward by bringing knowledge and practical skills closer to those involved in beekeeping and honey production. Over the past period, two important activities were successfully implemented, marking a key step in supporting sustainable practices and strengthening professional competencies in the sector.

These activities focused on raising awareness, sharing practical knowledge, and exploring new approaches to honey production, promotion, and sustainable beekeeping.

Marketing and Promotion of Honey Products

The Webinar Session

The first activity took place in the form of a webinar, where participants were introduced to the EcoHoney project and the structure of the training programme.

The session focused on the importance of marketing and communication in the honey sector, highlighting practical ways to promote honey products and reach new audiences. Participants explored topics such as branding, the use of marketing tools, and strategies for building visibility and trust in the market.

Understanding the Value of Organic Honey

The Full-Day Training Session

The second activity was a full-day training session that provided a more in-depth learning experience. The training focused on the broader value of organic honey and its connection to nature, and sustainable agriculture.

Participants explored the importance of bees for ecosystems and food production, and the challenges that beekeepers face today, including diseases that affect bee populations.

This session offered a deeper understanding of the role of sustainable beekeeping in protecting biodiversity and supporting responsible agricultural practices.

Moving Forward

These activities represent an important step in the implementation of the EcoHoney project, contributing to the development of knowledge, skills, and awareness in the field of sustainable honey production.

Through continued training and knowledge-sharing, the project aims to support professionals and stakeholders in adopting practices that protect bees, strengthen local production, and promote sustainable agriculture.
