Building the Future of Beekeeping: EcoHoney Partners Convene in Cyprus

A productive two-day meeting hosted by Eurosuccess Consulting

We were delighted to welcome the EcoHoney consortium to Nicosia for our latest project meeting, held at the Eurosuccess Consulting offices in Strovolos between the 20th and 21st November 2025.  The gathering brought together project partners from across Europe, offering the perfect environment to reconnect, exchange insights, and strengthen our shared vision. The meeting also included a guided walk through Old Nicosia and a traditional Cypriot dinner, adding a cultural touch to the working sessions.

About EcoHoney

EcoHoney is an Erasmus+ project dedicated to enhancing the beekeeping sector through modern, accessible training. By combining traditional knowledge with innovative tools, the project aims to:

  • Support beekeepers in adopting sustainable and efficient practices
  • Preserve the cultural heritage of honey production
  • Provide structured learning materials and digital resources
  • Raise awareness about the importance of bees and ecological balance

What We Worked On

During our meeting in Nicosia, we reviewed and refined the EcoHoney training materials now approaching completion, ensuring a cohesive and polished learning experience for future users. We also aligned on the upcoming development of the project platform and prepared for the piloting phase, where the materials will be tested with beekeepers and trainers in each partner country. Communication and awareness activities were another key focus, as we continue strengthening EcoHoney’s visibility and engagement efforts. Overall, these discussions helped us streamline our workflow and set a clear direction for the months ahead.

Overall, the meeting was a productive milestone that strengthened our collaboration and set us on a clear path toward the next stages of development. As agreed during the meeting, partners will now finalise the remaining training materials, prepare their piloting activities, contribute to the awareness campaign, and support the development of the project platform and certification features. With these steps underway, we are entering an exciting phase where EcoHoney’s tools will soon reach real learners – bringing us closer to a stronger, more sustainable future for beekeeping across Europe.
