The project will be implemented under the Erasmus+ Sports programme and aims to address the priority &#8220;diversity and inclusion&#8221; by improving and empowering women&#8217;s participation in sport through physical activities for a better and more ambitious social inclusion and thus reducing any kind of gender discrimination in sport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The objectives of the project include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identification of good practices in the world of sport for women,<\/li>\n<li>Attracting more women to sport by offering appropriate opportunities and activities,<\/li>\n<li>Addressing the social inclusion of women belonging to disadvantaged groups, such as ethnic minorities, migrants, transgender and gender-diverse people, and women with physical disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target groups:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Women aged 20-45<\/strong> who have fewer opportunities to participate in sport,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Women from disadvantaged groups<\/strong> (migrant women, Roma communities, people with physical disabilities), with a view to social inclusion and\/or rehabilitation,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Women sports<\/strong> instructors, coaches and social workers who lack awareness, information and coherent training on gender issues, sports clubs and associations involved in women&#8217;s sport,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Local authorities<\/strong> wishing to adopt specific plans for women&#8217;s participation in sport,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Administrative bodies<\/strong> wishing to adopt a coherent policy to encourage women&#8217;s participation in sport and physical activities, combating all forms of discrimination on grounds of gender.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The main results of the project are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report of current situation on women participation and gender equality in sports;<\/li>\n<li>Handbook of best practices: Women &amp; Sport \u2013 Barriers and Benefits;<\/li>\n<li>Train the Trainers Manual for empowering women to play and participate in feminine football, catchball and beach volleyball;<\/li>\n<li>Guidelines for a national women league in recreative sport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The project consortium consists of seven (7) partners from six (6) different countries, including Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned for more information about the project and the partners&#8217; activities!<\/p>\n<p>Follow the project&#8217;s Facebook page \ud83d\udc49 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our organization, which is a genuine advocate of social inclusion and the promotion of gender equality in all sectors of society, participates as a partner in the European Project LESS4MORE &#8211; Leveraging Sports for Women Empowerment (01\/12\/2022 &#8211; 31\/12\/2024).
