{"id":13375,"date":"2025-10-06T17:04:52","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T14:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eurosc.eu\/news\/subsidy-scheme-for-investments-in-the-manufacturing-and-or-distribution-of-agricultural-products\/"},"modified":"2025-10-06T17:05:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T14:05:28","slug":"subsidy-scheme-for-investments-in-the-manufacturing-and-or-distribution-of-agricultural-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eurosc.eu\/en\/schemes\/business-creation-and-development\/schemes-for-established-and-or-new-businesses\/closed-en-3\/subsidy-scheme-for-investments-in-the-manufacturing-and-or-distribution-of-agricultural-products\/","title":{"rendered":"Subsidy Scheme for Investments in the Manufacturing and\/or Distribution of Agricultural Products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A prerequisite for all interested applicants is to complete the preliminary questionnaire: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/gryiyHH6nPfA4t4i6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/gryiyHH6nPfA4t4i6<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grants are used to support new and existing businesses that seek to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>upgrade their infrastructure and equipment technologically,<\/li>\n<li>improve the efficiency and sustainability of production,<\/li>\n<li>develop new or improved products and markets,<\/li>\n<li>promote PDO, PGI, organic, or export products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Scheme is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus, aiming to support the agri-food chain and local processing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Beneficiaries<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Natural or legal persons, existing or newly established companies, which are active or intend to become active in the processing and\/or marketing of agricultural products, as defined in Annex I to the EU Treaty, are eligible to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses must have or secure appropriate infrastructure and operate legally in the Republic of Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Types of Businesses<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)<\/li>\n<li>Large enterprises in specific cases, provided that the investment serves the collective or strategic interest of the sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Grant<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The aid intensity depends on the size of the enterprise and its location.<\/p>\n<p>In general, the grant ranges between 40% and 60% of eligible costs, in accordance with the terms of the Implementation Manual.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Eligible Expenses<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction, renovation, or expansion of building facilities<\/li>\n<li>Supply and installation of machinery and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Commercial transport vehicles necessary for the transport of raw materials and products (up to \u20ac300,000),<\/li>\n<li>Investments in digital technology and innovation,<\/li>\n<li>Certification and quality control costs,<\/li>\n<li>Product promotion and marketing,<\/li>\n<li>Consultancy and research services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ineligible Expenses<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Purchase of land,<\/li>\n<li>Operating expenses,<\/li>\n<li>Rents, fees, interest, and taxes,<\/li>\n<li>Second-hand equipment,<\/li>\n<li>Investments related to non-agricultural products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Total Budget<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The total budget for the Plan is <strong>\u20ac25,000,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A prerequisite for all interested applicants is to complete the preliminary questionnaire: https:\/\/forms.gle\/gryiyHH6nPfA4t4i6 Grants are used to support new and existing businesses that seek to: upgrade their infrastructure and equipment technologically, improve the efficiency and sustainability of production, develop new or improved products and markets, promote PDO, PGI, organic, or export products. &nbsp;
