Vocational Education and Training Program for Newly Unemployed in the Hospitality Industry
The aim of the program is to provide vocational education and training to newly unemployed individuals without prior experience in the hospitality industry, with the goal of their employment in hotel units.
Eligible Participants:
- (a) Unemployed individuals registered with the Public Employment Service Offices for at least twelve (12) consecutive months and who have not previously worked in the hospitality industry.
- (b) All hotel units.
The vocational education and training programs will be conducted:
- Internally within hotel units and/or in other certified hotel units by certified trainers and/or by the Higher Hotel Institute, lasting for a period of two months.
Participants in the scheme will receive a weekly allowance of €125. Hotel units participating in the Program and providing internal training will receive compensation for the cost of organizing and implementing the training programs, including the cost of trainers. In the case where training is conducted in other hotel units, compensation will be provided to those units as well. In both cases, the compensation will amount to €100 per trainee per month.
