This scheme offers businesses the opportunity to hire graduates, up to the age of 29, who hold a degree of 3 years or more and have been registered as unemployed for more than 6 consecutive months at the Public Employment Service Offices.
The subsidy covers 80% of the employee’s salary cost, with a maximum amount of €15,000. The subsidy will be provided for 12 months of employment, with the obligation for the employer to retain the individual for an additional 6 months without subsidy.
Only employers who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the scheme:
- They participated in schemes of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism for Youth Entrepreneurship, Women’s Entrepreneurship, and Business Innovation during the programming period 2007 – 2013.
- They have not received any subsidies in the past from co-financed schemes during the programming period 2007 – 2013, aimed at encouraging the employment of the same individual they intend to employ under this scheme. Additionally, the same individual (candidate for employment) should not have worked for the employer in the eight months prior to the date of announcement of the scheme.
Note: The employment of the unemployed individual must occur after the date of each announcement of the scheme, in a position that is notified to the Public Employment Service.
