The Scheme aims at providing firms aid-grants to facilitate the recruitment of persons belonging to the target group, as defined in the Scheme, Young people aged between 25 and 29 years (29 years and 364 days) on the date of their hiring during the period of validity of the call for participation in the Scheme who are out of employment, education or training and are enrolled in the Public Service Employment (PES).

The grant is up to 70% of the employee's salary cost up to a maximum of € 8,400 for the first ten (10) months of employment and an employer's obligation to maintain the employee's employment for two (2) additional months without a grant.

Applications for submission are accepted from 25/04/2017 to 31/05/2017

The Scheme aims at providing firms aid-grants to facilitate the recruitment of persons belonging to the target group, as defined in the Scheme, unemployed persons up to 25 years old, registered in the Public Employment Service on the date of application for participation in Scheme.

The Scheme aims at providing firms aid-grants to facilitate the recruitment of persons belonging to the target group, as defined in the Plan, unemployed persons over 50 years registered in the Public Employment Service on the date of application for participation in Scheme.

The grant is covering the 70% of the person's wage cost for the first ten (10) months of employment and with an employer's obligation to maintain the employment of the employee for two (2) additional months without subsidy. Maximum grant € 8.400.


The Scheme aims to provide incentives for hiring people who:

  1. Are registered as unemployed at the offices of the Public Employment Service on the date of submission of  applications.
  2. Must be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus or third-country citizens, legally residing in Cyprus and have the right to freely engage the labour market.
