The GreenToC project addresses the gap between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the labour market and promotes their collaboration in regards to the evolution of green transformation skills. Specifically, innovative tools, such as the Theory of Change (ToC) framework and AI technologies are being used with the aim to provide students and academics with sustainability skills. While HEIs provide students with the theoretical knowledge and fundamental skills, the workforce offers the opportunity to apply all that is learned, promoting in this way true impact and real-world application. The project introduces eco-friendly strategies into HEI curricula, fostering collaboration between academia and industry to address climate change.
The project’s main objectives are:
- Enhance HE and the labour market’s collaboration through the development of a HE green sustainability curriculum leveraging digital and AI tools.
- Upskill academics in the area of green transformation through leveraging digital and AI tools.
- Upskill and educate students in the area of green transformation through leveraging digital and AI tools and acquiring real-world experience.
- Raise awareness and disseminate the project’s results and mechanisms for contributing in the fight against climate change.
The project’s main results are:
- The development of a higher education course for students to improve their digital and green capabilities, in order to develop green transformation strategies for the labour market with the utilization of ToC methodology and AI technology.
- The development of a platform and an upskilling training course to train the trainers (academics/experts) on the theories, technologies, activities and tasks included in the course.
- The promotion project outcomes, including the curriculum, academic and student training results, as to engage diverse stakeholders.
