This Scheme aims to provide incentives for hiring people beloning to vulnerable social groups*, in the Private Sector and Local Government Authorities. A financial assistance is provided of up to 65% of the gross monthly salary of the employee for a period of 12 months with a maximum funding of €13.000, and travel expenses are paid to the employees for each working day of employment.

* Vulnerable social groups: For the purpose of this project are considered to be unemployed individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

  1. did not attend secondary education (left school early) or vocational training (ISCED 3),
  2. are aged between 15-24
  3. are over the age of 50
  4. live alone and have the responsibility of taking care of one or more dependent persons (single-parent families)
  5. belong to minor ethnic communities in Cyprus and need to develop their language skills, professional training or professional experience in order to improve their prospects of gaining access to more stable employment positions
  6. are recipients of government fundings
  7. are individuals who are or were under the legal care of the Director of Social Welfare Services
  8. are members of families with psychosocial problems
  9. are released from prison
  10. are former drug users
  11. are individuals with disabilities
  12. are found as human trafficking victims
  13. are registered at the Public Employment Services offices as unemployed, for more than 6 consecutive months

Attention!!! The application must be submitted before the registration of the individual as an employee in the Social Insurances Office.
