The project BREAKING THE CIRCLE – European peer to peer actions to raise the awareness of children, youngsters and professionals on rights in children and juvenile justice, was approved under the European programme “JUSTICE” and aims at upgrading a legal framework to guarantee effective access of children to an adequate legal management, in order to thoroughly know their rights.
In particular, the project’s main goals are as follows:
- To raise awareness to children and young adults about their rights in the civil, criminal and administrative legal proceedings through an approach that encourages their participation
- To inform the relevant stakeholders who work in the Juvenile Justice and Education System sector regarding a child-friendly approach to justice
- To improve the child-friendly justice practices in all the EU member states
To achieve the aforementioned goals, the project will carry out campaigns to raise awareness and inform people about the relevant issue, involving children who have gone through legal proceedings in the past.
The relevant organizations that take part in this project come from Cyprus (Eurosuccess Consulting), Italy, Spain and Romania.
